Story

Magicians who build their own tools.

Long before screens, illusionists were engineers.

  1. 1845

    Robert-Houdin

A clockmaker by training, born in Blois, he opens his theatre in Paris and puts electricity, then a curiosity, to work in his illusions. He is regarded as the father of modern magic.

  2. 1888

    Méliès

The illusionist Georges Méliès takes over the Robert-Houdin theatre. A few years later he discovers the cinematograph and invents the tricks that founded special effects.

  3. Today

    Briquemault

A family of magicians and mentalists, an eight-century-old estate in the Loiret equipped with an L-ISA system, and the same problem at every show: the sound does not know what is happening. So we are building the tool we were missing.

The team

The people who needed the tool are building it.

Magicians who have run the Agence des Magiciens since 1994, and a technical partner.

The test venue

A full-scale test venue, with a real audience.

Briquemault is developed at the Domaine de Briquemault, in the Loiret, in the Crystal Orangery: 400 m² under glass, already rigged with sound and lighting trusses, hosting conferences, seminars, dinners and evening events.

What we believe

“The more the world fills with generated images, the more precious reality becomes. Briquemault does not replace the show with AI: it puts AI at the service of what is real, and makes it invisible.”
Cinema replays a mix. Briquemault listens to the room.
